Hydro, a global leader in aluminum and renewable energy, has achieved the third position in the GPTW Energy Ranking in the Commercialization category. Promoted by the global consultancy Great Place to Work, the award evaluates, based on employee surveys, the best companies to work for in the energy sector in Brazil.

"We debuted in the GPTW survey in 2023, received certification, and have already achieved this placement in the national ranking of Energy companies. This recognition is the result of teamwork, a culture of trust, valuing diversity, and innovation that are part of our Hydro way. Following our purpose of creating more sustainable societies begins with a safe, inclusive, and welcoming work environment. We continue with the certainty that we are on the right path and enthusiastic to advance even further," says Igor Carvalho, HR Business Partner at Hydro Energy.

Hydro's ranking is the result of significant participation from Hydro Energy and Hydro REIN employees in the last edition of the GPTW survey in 2023, which assessed organizational climate and employee satisfaction in various aspects. The consultancy evaluated 78 companies in the sector, totaling 56,649 employees. There were 20 awardees, with 10 companies in Generation, distribution, and transmission; five in Commercialization; and five in the Value Chain.

This was the first time that Hydro participated in the GPTW survey and achieved certification, standing out in the pride and belonging category. Respondents expressed pride in telling others that they work for the company and would recommend the company to friends and family as an excellent place to work. Applied annually, the survey aims to evaluate five essential attributes for a good work environment: credibility, respect, impartiality, pride, and collaboration. At the end of 2023, Hydro achieved fifth place in the GPTW ranking highlighting the best companies to work for in the North Region.
